How to use the new STS geometry files for studies on 
STS layout optimization:

You should be able to access the new geometry files and the conversion
macro here:

/u/jheuser/cbmroot2/geometry/new-geo-files

sts-3maps-4strips.dat
sts-3maps-5strips.dat
sts-3maps-3pix-5strips.dat
sts-3maps-5pix-3strips.dat      
sts-3maps-5pixstrips.dat
sts-3pix-4strips.dat
sts-3maps-shifted-4strips.dat

macro:        create_STS_geo_file.C
use is like:  create_STS_geo_file.C("sts-3maps-5pix-3strips")  (without "*.dat")
output is:    sts-3maps-5pix-3strips.geo


also required are:

magnet_iron_shifted.geo
pipe_newvac.geo


Copy all new *.geo files to .../cbmroot2/geometry and use them in your 
standard macro.
